Softball Spectator and Small School Vehicle Parking: Spectators and smaller school vehicles (transits, vans, suburbans, etc) should park in the parking lot northeast of the Jr-Sr High School by the tennis courts - 2011 N. 8th St. Admissions is CASHLESS. Concessions is card or cash. More info below.

CASHLESS ADMISSIONS: Two options to buy tickets - Use credit/debit card at the admission table or buy online before the event. Info is below.
Card readers will be on site at the admissions areas for spectators to use credit/debit cards for admission.

Please see the new pet policy for IHSAA/IGHSAU sanctioned or sponsored events. Iowa athletic association laws prohibit pets being brought to home or away athletic events.
Senior recognition will be before the start of the Bedford softball game at 5:30 and before the Sidney baseball game at 7:30. They will take place at their respective fields.

Essex will resume its softball game with Bedford on Tuesday, June 23, Senior Night, at 5:30. The game with Sidney will follow the conclusion of the Bedford game.
This evening's (6/19) softball and baseball double headers vs Bedford will start at 5 pm. ⚾️🥎

Tonight’s Bedford softball 🥎 and baseball ⚾️ games are postponed. We will play double headers June 19 in Essex starting at 5:30 pm.
Bella Simmons was recognized for Distinguished Academic Achievement from the Iowa High School Speech Association for achieving a 3.25 or above GPA in classroom work while actively participating in interscholastic individual speech activities. Simmons participated in Original Oratory.
Colt Nelson, Bella Simmons, Aila Valdez, and Piper Maher were recognized for Distinguished Academic Achievement from the Iowa High School Speech Association for achieving a 3.25 or above GPA in classroom work while actively participating in interscholastic large group speech activities. The four participated in Radio Broadcasting.

This is the 4th year the school has won this state award from Secretary of State Paul Pate. The Carrie Chapman Catt Award is awarded to schools with 90% or higher voter registration for the Senior class.
