Title I
The Essex Community School District is a Title 1 Targeted Assistance Building, which means we offer Title 1 Reading and Math services to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Title 1 is a program offered through the federal government to students who are in need of extra assistance in Reading and/or Math. This help is offered as a supplement to the core instruction in the classroom, not a replacement. It is a "fluid" program which allows students to get the help they need, be dismissed from the program, and come back again if needed. Essex Community School District encourages parent involvement and supports a partnership between home/school/community.
